Q & A
Does Permanent cosmetic hurt?
Topical anesthetic gel is used for numbing during & after the procedure. Client pain thresholds vary from client to client. Every consideration is taken into account to ensure complete client comfort. Permanent cosmetic services are tolerable but not completely painless. Please note clients may have added sensitivity if set appointment is during menstrual cycle.
How long does it last?
Every brow treatment will fade over time and an annual touch-up is required to meet color expectations. Frequency of touch -ups depend on how quickly the previous done treatment fades. Client daily activity factors include constant excessive sweat, sun exposure, facials/chemical peels and etc. may act as determining factor as to longevity of lasting color.

Am I allowed to bring guests?
Unfortunately guests, relatives, friends and children are not permitted to sit in during brow treatments. These appointments are closed and are specifically designed for total client comfort and relaxation. Although, I understand the excitement and sometimes nervousness that may occur with the idea of a brow tattoo I am unfortunately unable to allow clients guest to join. Client safety is most important to me as we will be using sharp objects and exposure to blood born pathogens. If clients do not follow this policy the appointment must be terminated.
Pre- Procedure Instructions
Please be prepared to stay between 2-3 hours for the initial brow service and approx. 1 hour for the touch-up service. All clients are asked (optional) to arrive at the appointment with brows filled in with makeup. This will give me a better understanding of what you're used to. Clients must not seek waxing services up to 4 days prior to initial or touch-up appointment. Clients must not have any sunburn or peeling around the brow area. Clients can not use any type of exfoliants or face scrubs. This also includes glycolic acid, retine A, accutane or spot treatments up to 3 days prior to scheduled appointment. Clients must not consume any alcohol or any blood thinning medication including Ibuprofen, Tylenol, Naproxen, etc. up to 24 hrs prior to scheduled appointment. (This will cause bleeding) Clients are advised not to work out at least 24 hrs prior to scheduled appointment. Clients are advised not to drink coffee morning of scheduled appointment.
After Care Instructions
Same day Aftercare
-
Blot brows every hour to absorb excess lymph fluid for the next 48 hrs post procedure. (This will help prevent thick scabbing & unwanted sensitivity)
-
Apply an ice pack to the brow area for 15-20 minutes to help minimize swelling & redness.
-
Brows will stay numb from 1-2 hrs post procedure but once numbing wears off please use an ice pack for sensitivity.
-
Avoid consuming any alcohol and blood thinning medications 24 hrs post-procedure.
-
Please do NOT touch or let any children/animals near the procedure area (This will increase the risk of infections if bacteria gets trapped beneath the surface of the skin)
How to Clean
-
Start to clean brows gently after the first 48 hrs (2 days)
-
Take a small amount of antibacterial soap + warm water on a clean disposable q-tip and gently pat mixture over the brows. Pat dry with a paper towel.
-
Once cleaning is completed take a small amount of the ointment given by Samantha and apply a thin layer over top the brow area using your index or ring finger.
-
Repeat the cleaning process everyday 2x a day for 7-10 days.
-
Repeat the ointment usage everyday 1-4x a day for 7-10 days (ONLY THIN LAYERS)
What to Avoid
-
Avoid excessive washing of the brow (Do not get the brows wet when washing your face or showering. This will cause premature fading)
-
Avoid excessive sweating for 7-10 days (NO GYM/CARDIO) This will cause poor retention.
-
Avoid direct sunlight, sunburning and suntanning for 7-10 days. Please wear a hat if you partake in any outdoor activities. (The sun will cause premature fading)
-
Avoid makeup directly on the brow area for 7-10 days. Face & eye makeup is ok. Be careful when applying & removing.
-
Avoid all types of swimming for 7-10 days (This will cause risk of infection)
What to Expect
-
Over the next 2 days the pigment will darken, feel sensitive or tender to touch as well as feel a little stingy. THIS IS COMPLETELY NORMAL.
-
The skin may start to feel dry and slightly start to flake in little bits.
-
Peeling/Flaking typically occurs between day 4-6 after initial procedure. It is typical for some clients to heal slower and some to heal quicker. Healing time varies from client to client.
-
Itchiness & Sensitivity will occur. PLEASE DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK AT THE FALLING FLAKES/PEELS.
